[COMPLETED] Community Yard Sale

When: 30–31 May 2026

The 2026 Horn Valley community yard sale wrapped on 31 May. Thanks to everyone who set up a table and displayed a permit — the citation squad mostly stayed in the truck. The printable permit remains on the site for next year.

Neighborhood watch

Unofficial patrol — no badge required. Just coffee, situational awareness, and the ability to describe engine noise as “a weather event.”

Active watch list

  • Wasps — Horn Valley officials confirm at least one wasp has begun unauthorized mud-based construction near a resident’s water heater. Current status: mildly concerning, aggressively annoying. Residents are advised to inspect pipes, remain calm, and avoid entering lease agreements with flying contractors.
  • “Gray Thunder” — lifted gray pickup, Otis Drive. Excessive revving, decorative smoke, and a documented inability to travel below 37 MPH on residential streets. Allegedly audible from three cul-de-sacs away.
  • Phantom red SUV — Ressie Ln and NW 25th Street corridor. Residents advised not to make direct eye contact; signal early and avoid sudden merging.
  • Sign activity — Signs may vanish. Watch signs in your yards, the street, etc.

How to report

Post sightings, noise complaints, and Ressie Ln traffic commentary on the neighbor forum. It's anonymous and zero official memos required.
For the HOA’s official definition of “security,” see HOA Info.

Reminder: The Horn Valley Noise Complaint Counter is in what experts call “mathematically concerning territory.” Document responsibly.
